Does anyone does this for their own live sets, I have questions.

resolume

I have a set prepared for some vocal driven electronic music, some rap and singy stuff. My Ableton set is pretty much just two mics, a massive amounts of effect racks, and the instrumentals. I want to elevate my artistic identity and seek it through this medium, but honestly running all the software and hardware on top of my music stuff does seem a bit daunting. I’m thinking of getting into stage lighting as well just to enjoy it in my living room and maybe whip it out for shows, which may be a bit much. Culturally there seems to be a sort of style people go for in VJ’ing, musically and visually, so I’m hoping I can mix it up.

I do have some questions, since I’m essentially playing to a tape anyway, would it be better to use software other than resolume, when i’m on the demo and have no dedicated gpu? I do realize that dj’ing is more of a live medium and VJ’ing I imagine is a similar ordeal. I’m also just generally interested in learning video engineering, software, stagehand stuff
