Beware of hotels with O in them - OYO.

There has been a rise in renaming of OYO rooms so that while booking from a third party platform like Agoda or MakeMyTrip or even browsing on Google Maps, you'll not know that they are OYO.

Examples:

- Super Collection O

- Collection O

- Hotel O

- Super Hotel O

- Collection O Hotel

- Edition O

followed by the hotel name.

All the hotel photos are fake, CGI rendered.

One of the hotels we booked our stay at, totally denied our check-in at 12 AM, even though that was agreed upon.

We kept calling them, they blocked our number while we waited outside the hotel premises. OYO guy kept yelling at us, and finally revealed that they gave away our fully paid room to someone else.

We got scammed because we didn't know beforehand that it was OYO. All the phone numbers are of OYO. You don't have any contact with the hotel receptionist or the manager. They were literally pitching us an "alternative stay" while we were stranded at Andul Road with our luggage in the middle of the night. Trying to make more money from needy people.

FYI, our train got delayed and that's why it got so late.

Anyone could have gotten in the same position as us.
