What storage are you using for photos? Beginner photog

I’ve started learning photography with my canon rebel t7, and I am doing initial research on storage for photos. Can you all recommend affordable options? Reading other threads, others recommend having at least 2 storage options. I see many hard drives are a few hundred dollars, and I just spent around $300 on the camera, haha.

Some online storage options cost around $10 a month, which is doable. I’m looking specifically at Google Photos, which is $10 per month for 2 TB. What do you all like to use? I know the more photos I take the better I will get, but after buying the camera, I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on data storage.

I get the adobe cloud software (Lightroom, photoshop, etc) for free through school which I plan on using, but I don’t want to rely on that for storage, since my account will disappear after I graduate.
