Realistic options after Blue Book traineeship?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently a Blue Book trainee and trying to get a realistic sense of what career paths are actually attainable afterwards. I have several years of experience, but not within the Institutions.

I often see different contract types and grades (AST, FGIII, FGIV), but it’s not entirely clear to me what is realistically achievable right after a Blue Book.

For those familiar with the system, is FGIV a realistic outcome, or is FGIII the more typical entry point? Any practical advice on positioning yourself during the traineeship to improve chances? I’d really appreciate honest insights from people who’ve been through this.
