How to get 9mo son out of our bed and back into crib?

My 9 month old boy started as a great sleep and started sleeping full nights around 2 months and everything was going well until about a month ago. Now he wakes up sometimes minutes after being placed in his crib and we’ll start screaming and crying. My wife has been co-sleeping with him in the bed cause it’s the only way he sleeps and I’ve taken up the couch. We wanna try and get him back into his crib.

I’m sure a ton of people here have gone through the same thing and just want to know how you guys handled it.
