Buying a car - are the dealership-offered "protections" worth it or not?

My partner and I are in the process of buying a car which is much nicer than our old one. The dealership offers "Gen 3 Paint Protection", "SMART Cosmetic Protection" and Tyre and Alloy Wheel Protection. Each one is £399, or £999 if you buy all three. It feels like a lot of money but I'm also worried that the car will immediately get scraped or scratched if we don't buy it. Anyone got any experience/advice?
