Migrating from Amber to Globird

Hi

I've read with interest the posts recently about moving from Amber to Globird - particularly stories like this. This matches my experience - too much time, effort, stress for little benefit when I have a house, family of six and an EV to run. Watching energy prices is fun, but I don't want a second career as an energy trader :-)

So I have logistics questions. First - some details about my set up in case it's relevant:

  • 32kwh SigEnergy battery with gateway

  • 10kw Sig inverter (already replaced!)

  • 6.6kw of panels AC coupled through a SolarEdge inverter (the old system)

  • 3.3kw of panels DC coupled

  • 7kw Sig EV charger

  • EV with a 100kwh battery

My battery was installed in September last year - I've been with Amber since then.

I understand that when you sign up with Amber, there is a binding of the battery to then (presumably when one provides the serial number etc).

  1. What is the process for reversing that process to move to Globird?
  2. If I were to sign up, to Globird just take care of that as part of the change over process? Do I need to worry about this?

I guess I could ask Amber these questions about the exit process, but I've already experienced the full might and power of their support function shrug emoji.

Thanks in advance
