How are we handling mental health?

Advice Needed

I’ve been in childcare for 4 years. I’ve been a nanny for 19 months. I love my job, I love the kids I am working with and their parents are amazing people.

Unfortunately I have OCD. I’m also in the US. I’ve had to delete and filter all the news things and social on my phone (I’ve kept Reddit for a few hobby pages to try and distract myself). I’m not going to get political here but the news has become a major trigger in the last 5 months. Moreso this week than normal. I’ve been having a rough time this morning with that “impending sense of doom” feeling making me physically feel ill even though I know I’m okay. My doctor can’t see me right now I’m sure for similar reasons and the city I live in’s inpatient facility is not an option mentally for me. I want to be at work however I don’t know how to bring up this issue with my bosses because I don’t want them to be uncomfortable with me being around their children like this either. How do we address these kids of things with our jobs? I’ve never had this as an issue.
