Canon iX6850 vs Epson XP-15000

Beginner

Hi everyone! I’m looking for an A3+ inkjet printer to print high-density black masks on transparent film for photo-etching / printmaking plates. I need to print very fine vector lines, and it is critical that the edges are mathematically crisp with zero micro-splatter or "fuzziness".

I’m choosing between:

* Canon iX6850 (Thermal head, 9600x2400 dpi, 1pl drop)

* Epson XP-15000 (Piezo head, 5760x1440 dpi, 1.5pl drop)

For those making etching plates or fine screens, which technology actually delivers a cleaner, sharper edge on film? Does Canon’s higher stated DPI win, or does Epson’s piezo head prevent splatter better?

Any real-world advice is greatly appreciated!
