Anyone here switched from tubular to lithium inverter battery?
I've been using a tubular battery with my inverter for about 3 years now and it's gotten progressively more annoying. the water topping every few months, the backup dropping noticeably compared to when it was new, and the charging time after a long cut is just painful at this point.
started looking into lithium options recently and went through a bunch of brands. Luminous and Microtek are the obvious names that come up everywhere but honestly their lithium range is priced quite high, like significantly more than what i was expecting for a battery upgrade. Microtek especially felt like you're paying a lot for the brand name more than anything else. Luminous is slightly better value but still on the expensive side for what you get.
Then came across some other options like Electrent which seem to offer similar specs, LiFePO4 chemistry, built in BMS, decent Ah rating, at a noticeably lower price point. but since it's not a brand I've heard of before I'm not sure how reliable it actually is long term compared to the established names.
So for people who have actually switched from tubular to lithium, was the difference in day to day use as noticeable as people say? and is going with a lesser known brand a risk or does it not matter as much for batteries as it does for inverters?
