Question about Waron

I like Waron, but after reading the prequel, I have a question. How can she still be a knight?!

I mean, I understand that she apparently forced knights to go against their honor so she could kill them, but really no one - other knights or the emperor - did anything at all?

They attacked Candentia for less, so I don't understand.

(Let's not even talk about Malto.)

Maybe I'm missing something.
