monday.com pricing is starting to feel a bit ridiculous, what are people moving to?

Discussion

We’ve been using monday for a while and honestly I didn’t mind it at first. It’s pretty easy to get people in, looks nice, doesn’t take forever to explain. But the pricing is starting to get really hard to ignore.

Every time we want to bring someone in, it turns into this small internal debate about whether it’s worth another seat. Devs, external people, even just someone who needs visibility for a bit, it all adds up way faster than expected.

And the weird thing is, the more technical the work gets, the less useful it feels. We keep running into situations where we either simplify how we work just to fit the tool or we end up doing part of the work somewhere else anyway.

So now we’re paying for it but also kind of working around it at the same time. I get that it’s not built specifically for technical teams but at this price point it starts to feel like it should handle a bit more without needing constant adjustments or extra tools on the side.

At this point I’m just trying to figure out what people are actually using instead, especially in more technical setups where things aren’t super linear and clean.
