Is anyone else at least... slightly concern about what they see on this subreddit?

I am talking about people posting colonies and stories where they treat their pawns deliberately in a way that would cause extreme pain and suffering as fun.

While i do not want to police how people play a game, and i am aware no real world harm is being done, to me it shows what kind of person someone truly is deep down.

The question is, would those people act the same way if they were truly given absolute power of someone else? Without any kind of shaming or punishment or consequences? Most would say no.

I am not intentionally meaning to make anyone feel bad. Nor be moralizing, I am trying to understand why do people feel an urge to simulate being extreamly cruel.
