Will "The Gift of Choice" ever replace the "Thoughtful Gift"?
We’ve all been there. You spend 3 weeks picking out a "thoughtful" gift only for it to end up in the back of their closet.
I’m starting to think that sending a high-value, versatile gift card (like a "Choose Your Own" brand) is actually more thoughtful because it respects the receiver's autonomy. But some people still think it's "lazy."
Is the "Laziness" stigma around gift cards finally dying out in the post-pandemic world, or do we still feel the need to wrap a physical box to prove we care? OP is leaning toward "Choice > Surprise" every single time. 🎁
