Looking for ideas to grow and improve our gaming Discord server (events, channels, community)

Hey everyone,

We recently started a Discord server as a gaming community. Right now our main focus is Call of Duty Mobile but we don’t want to stay limited to just one game. We’d like to expand into other games (such as amongus, roblox, wild rift etc...) and build a more active and friendly community overall

At the moment, we’re trying to figure out:

• what kind of channels we should add
• how to make the server more engaging
• what events or activities actually work
• how to attract and keep active members

We’re especially interested in event ideas that people actually enjoy joining. For example:

• game nights
• movie nights
• tournaments and codm events
• community challenges
• casual hangouts

But we feel like there’s way more we could be doing.

We’re not trying to be just another inactive server we actually want something where people genuinely join, talk and play together regularly.

If you’ve built or managed a Discord server before, I’d really appreciate:

• event ideas that worked well
• things that boosted activity
• mistakes to avoid
• anything that helped build a real community
