Is it slander/defamation/liable or generally illegal in Nevada to use a marquee to name call a district judge?
Location: Northern Nevada So I live in northern Nevada, several years ago a local judge sided with an opposing party that had lied. The judge bought their lies hook line and sinker. He’s retiring at the end of his current term. I own a local business that has a light up marquee sign out front. For the last month of the judges term I would like to put something on my sign like “good bye and farewell to the dishonorable judge dingleberry, who’s served our community horribly!” Or “judge dingleberry’s a douche” or something similar to that, the best thing is, is that he passes my business on his way too and from court every day. Is there any legal ramifications I could be looking at by putting up a message like that on my sign? Thank you for your comments and advice.
