2024 FTR, jerky / sensitive throttle. Do I need a remap?

Recently picked up a base model 2024 FTR. Love the bike, plenty of power but I’ve noticed the throttle is very sensitive when in a low gear (2nd or 3rd) and trying to keep a steady speed.

I have to really keep my throttle movements very slight, there’s no forgiving and at times it can feel jerky. Trying to keep the throttle steady when going over bumps in the road causes jerks in the engine note. The instant torque is there which is great but the crossover between rolling on the throttle is extremely narrow. Am I correct in thinking the stock map from Indian is very lean to meet emissions regs?

Ive found other bikes throttle far more forgiving.

Besides changing my throttle control, is a remap the only option to smooth out the jerkiness?
