Crazy Amazon shipping prices

yes I know direct Amazon shipping is expensive. but I'm talking about third parties.

One company wanted to charge me $19 for shipping and $18 for customs! I only wanted 2 small items!

are there any other good ways of buying without these crazy prices?

(no the items I need not available here, only Amazon and Ali express have them.)
