weird dream? woke up to cat meowing

i just woke up from a dream where i was in the back seat of my own car (someone was in the driver seat, maybe a friend? i wasn’t scared of them or uncomfortable) but we were parked in this dark meadow/field and i had my door open. then a golden retriever (ive never owned a golden retriever) came running around the corner of the car so frantic and i saw it was being chased by a black panther. so at first the dog jumped in the car with me, but i couldn’t get the door closed so somehow the other door was open and the panther came in through there. i shoved the dog out and closed all the doors so that the panther was stuck in the car with us. i wasn’t scared, and then i started calling my boss telling them i was going to be late for work because we had accidentally caught a black panther. i was really stressed about being late.

then i woke up to my cat meowing (im an extremely deep sleeper, so this was really scary to me and i was worried something was really wrong, and it turned out she had been left outside over night… she LOVES to be outside and never leaves the front porch but it broke my heart that she had been left overnight…. i have two roommates that came home late so she probably slipped out then but im starting to feel like my dream was related to how i woke up if thats even possible. i would love any information/perspective on this!
