Problem with order (EORI/VAT number)

Hi, I ordered a Chessnut device as a private customer in Switzerland and now support says shipment may require an EORI/VAT number. Since I’m not a business, I don’t have those.

They now say I could provide my AHV number or ID number so customs can treat it as a private package. I’m not comfortable sharing such sensitive personal data.

Has anyone in Switzerland had the same issue with Chessnut? Did your order go through without providing AHV/ID, or how did you solve it?
