Is stuff like neurofeedback / HBOT / stem cells actually worth it for chronic pain & fatigue?
"I’m 34, female, desk job, dealing with low-key awful back/neck pain and brain fog for like 3 years now. Been through the usual loop of PT, chiro, pain meds, “just exercise more.” It helps a bit, but I’m still wiped out after work and my lower back feels like it belongs to a 70-year-old.
What kicked this off again was a chat with a coworker who swears hyperbaric oxygen helped his migraines. So I stayed up way too late googling “alternative” treatments and ended up reading about neurofeedback, stem cell therapy, HBOT, shockwave, etc. One of the sites I landed on was http://www.justhealthy.com/ which had a bunch of testimonials and articles that sounded kinda promising, but I’m aware those can be super cherry-picked.
Has anyone here actually tried neurofeedback, HBOT, or stem cell stuff for chronic pain/fatigue and felt a real difference? How did you vet the clinic, and what red flags should I watch for? Also curious what you’d try first if you were in my shoes. Maybe I’m overthinking this, but I don’t want to burn thousands on pure placebo."
