Alexa plus?? (Tech)

not sure what tag to use and I yap a fair bit so apologies in advance!

I was just doing a bit of research as I'm looking to potentially upgrade my smart home device.

i have the Amazon Alexa (5th gen) and I just found out about Alexa plus, which apparently lets you ask more in depth questions??

for a subscription price of course, but apparently if you already have Amazon prime you're eligible (though I'm unsure!)

curious about it as I'm quite frustrated with the cheek of "sorry I don't know that!" when I ask a straightforward question and it seems that Google home is better for random questions.

pretty sure it only started rolling out in march.

so can anyone tell me more about it? has anyone heard of it? has anyone gotten it yet?

would I be better off just switching to a Google home?
