Wish I was diagnosed as a child. I would have had the required support. Hard to seek it now as someone in their mid 30s.
After my diagnosis last year my whole life finally made perfect sense. The way I am, and why things have always been so different for me. In many, many ways.
However, I haven't been able to use that knowledge in any meaningful way to turn my life around. It's become so clear to me now that I really need guidance navigating through life, and that alone I cannot function "normally" in society. But realising that in your mid 30s is so incredibly hard. Parents are ageing. Siblings have their own families. I feel lost.
If I was diagnosed as a child that extra support would have always been there.
