My tattoo artist sexually assaulted me and I don’t know what to do

I’m honestly still in shock writing this, but I need advice.

I went to get a tattoo on my ribs yesterday, which meant I had to be shirtless during the session. At some point, the artist started touching my breasts and butt in a way that had nothing to do with the tattoo. It didn’t feel accidental. It felt deliberate, and I froze. I didn’t say anything in the moment because I was scared and didn’t know how to react.

Now that I woke up the next day, it’s really hitting me how wrong that was. I feel violated and confused. I keep questioning myself like “was I overreacting?” but deep down I know it wasn’t okay.

I’m not sure what to do next. Should I report him? To the studio? To the police? Has anyone been through something like this?

Also, if anyone has advice on how to process this or what steps I should take, I’d really appreciate it.
