SRO Negotiations

For the SRO’s out there, what are some things you guys have negotiated for the make your assignment that much better? For my agency we have 3% specialty pay, 4-10 schedule, and priority training and shift bids during the summer. We’re going to be asking for 4% specialty pay, ability to keep SRO schedule during summer and winter break, and not count towards minimum staffing during those breaks we’re back on the road. My Sgt has also submitted a proposal to get summers off for SROs since we work more than our contract requires (39/52 weeks out of the year). We’re asking for all these because the applicant pool for the positions is basically non existent. Does anyone have anything they’ve asked for during negotiations that have been approved that sweetened the deal for you?
