A hunch: Garling will gain Domi Reversi powers and turn Akainu into a demon

It seems obvious that Garling has his own agenda. In the last chapter we can see him taking the lead of the Gorosei, while indirectly supporting Imu leaving Pangea Castle (knowing this would weaken him). He´s one of the few important people that shows up in the ¨Claim the one piece¨ pannel. I can´t think of another WG figure as ambitious as him.

I believe that, considering Imu is weakened by him leaving Pangea Castle, setting off to fight the Strawhats and Elbaph giants, he´ll most likely die sooner than later. He´ll return exhausted, like Xebec, and then, to the astonishment of the Gorosei, Garling will deliver the final blow. All of them die due to their pact with Imu being destroyed; Garling seizes the opportunity to steal Imu´s powers and secretly become King of the World.

For a long time I´ve wondered what Akainu´s role will be in all of this: even though I seriously doubt he stands a chance against G5 Luffy, Loki or Zoro, it´s hard to deny he is a main antagonist and that he has to deliver an epic battle.

But with the whole world becoming more conscious as to the true nature of the WG, and Akainu being fed up by the Celestial Dragon´s demands and the orders of the Gorosei, it´s hard to think that he will support them obediently.

Maybe he commands a rebellious faction of the WG decided to stand off against Luffy, Blackbeard, Dragon, Imu and the Gorosei. In that case, I can TOTALLY see Garling offering him a tempting deal. Akainu is, at the end of the day, a leading and a figure of authority amongst the Navy, unlike the Gorosei, who are shadow rulers. It´s possible that Garling will convince him to get rid of the top brass in the name of Justice, reorganizing the Marines in preparation for the Final War against pirates and revolutionaries alike.

Then, when Garling sees fit, he betrays Akainu, turns him into a demon in order to make the most of his strength, and forces him to battle against an enemy. It would be epic if the Revolutionaries were the ones to deal with him! Sabo would get a chance to avenge Ace.

More than a theory this is a scenario I would be really hyped about. What do you think? Thanks!
