what's happening with frank?

in the recent 'Are We There Yet?' episode, they all get into a debate in the technicalities of whether or not someone has been in a place. i've noticed that frank makes a lot of nuanced examples and then tries to tie them into a common sentiment which is just another day for them but like--every episode i have watched lately, frank tries so hard to make a point and to make that point right. it's honestly not a big deal, but it kind of gets old really quick because even if ant or joe tries to provide examples or explanations to counter his point, he always seems to try to find a flaw or a loophole to throw them, or specifically joe, off. this post isn't to theorize whatever is happening but i just thought it was kind off funny and wanted to see if anybody has noticed as well lol
