The Pitt & Israel

I just finished the first season of The Pitt aka ER 2 and need to know if I’m going insane.

The last few eps cover the aftermath of a mass shooting at a music festival in Pittsburgh. It has a random reference to Krav Maga and an ‘Israeli bandage’ which is apparently some kind of military trauma dressing, and it culminates in the ER attendant weeping by himself clutching his Star of David necklace.

Of course what happened at Nova festival on Oct 7th was objectively horrific and the show is entitled to have a Jewish character who turns to his faith but it seemed incredibly heavy handed.

I am aware that I need to touch grass, just checking how much grass to touch.
