Whey protein , let’s do something about it !

Protein has become stupid expensive, and I don’t even trust half the brands out there. Either you’re overpaying or you’re questioning the quality.

So I wanted to ask something real to this sub.

If I start a whey protein brand that’s literally just high-quality whey concentrate (WPC 80), only chocolate flavour, made from imported raw whey , nothing fancy at all ,would you guys buy it?

No ads. No influencers. No fancy packaging. No marketing spend.

Just clean, good quality whey at the lowest possible price. I’m talking pricing it just to sustain + around 2% margin for buffer. That’s it.

Idea is to start small with low MOQ, and I’ll post everything here — sourcing, manufacturer, test reports, exact cost breakdowns, all of it. Full transparency.

This would basically be built for this subreddit, not as some big “brand”.

I’m just a middle class guy tired of paying premium prices for something that should be basic.

If there’s consistent demand, we can think about isolate or more flavours later. But initially, just want to keep it simple and solid.

Would you actually buy something like this?

And if yes, what price/kg would make it a no-brainer for you?

Also, if anyone here wants to be involved or build this together, I’m open to that too.
