I am being forced to take science and i dk what to do

I was currently in CBSC and i am now switching to icse in 9th , and i have to take a stream , i wanna take arts as i want to have time to make short films because i wanna become a filmmaker , when i told my mum she sad arts is "girly" and i should take science as a man ,idk what to do and want advice from yall
