Ball gap options

Hi, I'm new to this and trying to find a good fit.

I've read a lot about how important getting an appropriate ball gap is, but from what I've seen, manufacturers/vendors don't offer a choice of different ball gaps per cage. Is that the case? You can get different sizes of rings or tubes, but the ball gap is fixed for each model? Maybe I'm just missing something obvious.
