Eldritch Hexknight best weapon.
I'm running a solo hexknight build. I think the standard weapon to use is a Shadowblade. This'll be cast at lvl 2, so will be 2d8 damage.
I can't help thinking that the Charge-bound hammer is a better weapon though. It's 1d8 with an additional 1d6 lighting. Binding it provides +2 to attack and damage, which means it's maxing the same as a shadowblade, and has a higher average damage, and a better chance to hit.
It's also easy to drop on the floor prior to binding it, to add elemental damage with the Drakethroat.
I'm still in Act II so no resonance stone yet, if I choose to go that route.
Am I missing something? Are there other reasons to run with a shadowblade? Are there better one handed weapons to use (even into Act III). I like high AC builds when running solo, so a shield is a must.
