Bravia 8 WiFi dropping and reconnecting issues “fixed”

I put quotes around fixed because it’s only been a day since I’ve used the solutions I’ve found around on other posts but I’m hoping if this does fix it and other people can use these methods as well. I changed my router to where it splits between its 5ghz and 2ghz and I connected my tv only to the 2.4ghz version as most new routers these days will try to choose on its own what device needs to be connected to whichever frequency I could see this as being an issue. One VERY niche thing that I also did was on another WiFi post someone noted that the date and time could be causing issues and to set it to not use the network and then turn it back on. And lastly I tuned on simple IP control. I did both of these things and reset (not factory reset) my tv and we had a full night of TV watching without any issues. About two weeks ago our tv would just constantly cycle in and out of having a WiFi connection the moment it disconnected it would re connect almost immediately after. And the constant refresh would cause streaming to hiccup. It got so bad that we were debating just buying an Apple TV or a nvidia shield to not have to rely on the TV’s WiFi. I hope this works for anyone else feeling extremely frustrated. And I hope I also don’t run into the issue again
