Mayco Elements for outside pieces?
Hey everyone! Back with another question about glazes. I recently purchased a set of Mayco Elements glazes and I’m excited to see what my pieces look like! I believe they’ll be fired to cone 6 but, honestly, the studio is in between instructors so everything is a bit unclear right now.
Anyway, my question is - will these pieces be fine to use outside? I’ve made a few flower pots and was planning to keep them on my balcony (which has an awning not is not enclosed). Some of the folks in my class said they’d need a layer of sealant overtop to be weather proof, but I’ve never had to do that with anything I’ve fired before at other studios. Would love some insight! Thanks in advance!
