Anyone being able to quick change Ben into another alien was a bad idea

At first i thought only Ben could do it and the Omnitrix only recognized his fingerprints. But apparently not, as Max was able to do it in Omniverse. And that always seemed wrong to me-what if a villain took advantage of that?
