“‘Temporarily excluded’ status on TU Bergakademie Freiberg application – what does it actually mean?”

I recently applied to the Master’s program in Mechanical and Process Engineering at TU Bergakademie Freiberg for Winter Semester 2026/27.

My application status currently shows:

Request status: In progress

Admission restriction: Manual

Status of requested subject: Temporarily excluded

When I check “Show details,” there are:

No missing documents

No alerts or messages from the university

So I’m trying to understand what this actually means in practice.

Does “temporarily excluded” mean:

My application is under manual review?

There might be an eligibility concern?

Or is it usually a soft rejection?

Has anyone here experienced this status with German universities, especially TU Freiberg? What was the outcome in your case?

Also, would you recommend contacting the admissions office at this stage, or just waiting?
