How to kill boss polar bear?

First mission on Olympus: How do I kill this fu*ing thing? I have seen all the videos with the dodging technique but it doesn't really work. Yeah I can dodge him a few times, turn around and get a critical hit. I get him down to 2/3 of his health but then he just runs away and when I catch up to him he's back to 100% health again. And every once in a while he still gets me and almost kills me. I cant lure him to the cliffs to try it from an elevated structure. he always turns around. If I build a structure closer on the ground he will destroy it in an instant.
