Beginner problem with the forge

Ok, this is probably a me problem, not a bug, but I am beginner and I'm stuck at the Ospryx Warcamp : I need to forge an item in order to continue, but when I drag the base item in the item area of the forge (the rectangle), nothing happens ; the item does not appear at all. Can someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong ?
