Excited about Soul browser, but still sceptical

Reading some posts on this sub, I came across the Soul browser while searching for a replacement for my current Kiwi browser.

It seems to be the (almost) perfect replacement for my needs, mostly because it has key features I can't imagine a browser without : configurable menu items, html bookmarks, extended menu display.

Being a browser with not that many downloads on Google play, makes me sceptical about using it.

Is there anything I should know and/or worry about, like privacy issues worse than those of current usual browsers, update frequency, performance issues, etc. ?
