Stop duplicating lies and calling things properly. Sideloading applies to the iPhone, not Android
Every now and then I see posts or comments that outright say "sideloading" on Android app installations. You are cooked slow as a frog and don't even see simple facts just duplicate definitions from articles that are either bought or those articles are written by people with an IQ less than average.
Sideloading has always been about the iPhone because Sideloading is the installation of apps from outside the store that are not normally possible and "bypass" the security of the system. iOS never allowed something like this...Android from the very beginning as an open system allowed the installation (not sideloading) of apps as easily as going to the store for bread. All you had to do was flip the switch and you did whatever you wanted on your phone.
What is being taken away from us is the freedom to install. When Android is as closed as iOS then you can say that sideloading remains for installing apps from outside the store.
Call a spade a spade!
Why I am writing about it? Because most people have the memory of a goldfish, and in 1-2 years if Google wants to further close the system it will be that Android never allowed installation only sideloading, and they only secure the system more. And so slowly slowly until finally they close the system completely and few people will remember how it really was an installation because it was your phone and system was for you and u was able to install anything u want.
