Reframing the series, what to edit/re-edit.

I’ve been thinking as an editing exercise, and also just for fun, to take several episodes of a favorite tv show and re-edit or reshape the series dedicated to a particular character or storyline as if it were the main plot. Granted with the vampire diaries, so much is connected and different information is learned in multiple subplots, but out of curiosity how would you all re-edit the series, and what storyline would you have at the forefront?

Personally, I’m thinking of taking the Bonnie route, a miniseries (because she truly wasn’t given enough story) about a young witch coming into her power while being entangled in the world of vampires and other supernatural creatures. With Caroline and Elena drama as subplots, and Stefan and Damon as supporting characters as well who are interwoven when needed for plots.
