Cottontail needs a miracle, and that's putting it lightly...

We are just gutted beyond compare by the painful updates we keep getting on our little girl. In the same week that we lost two precious souls that we loved very much we are really struggling with the reality that she may not make it, but we also just don't feel quite ready to give up the fight.

The list of things that are going on is a lot to take in, so we will try to make it as clean cut and clear as possible. We know that you are all so invested, and we need you all now more than ever. 😓

💔 Severely emaciated with a heavy parasite load (hookworms, whipworms, roundworms)

💔 Suffering from life-threatening anemia

💔 NG (feeding) tube placed and dark/black fluid from stomach leaking out through it as well as black stool which indicates potential GI bleeding

💔 Body temperature dangerously low and while it's stabilizing in the incubator, she is unable to regulate her own temperature..

💔 Blood pressure critically low and unstable

💔 Risk of brain injury due to prolonged low blood pressure and hypoglycemia

💔 On antibiotics (infection risk) and gastroprotectants

• Plan to begin tube feedings once stable enough

💔 Remains in ICU under intensive care

💔 Overall, her condition is extremely critical with a very guarded prognosis.

We are already up to almost $4k in ER bills, but how can we compare that to the preciousness of tiny life depending on us, who never to a chance? Cottontail may not seem like it, but right now she IS fighting, but what was done to her took a long time to happen and so it's not an easy fight. ❤️‍🩹

Cottontail needs us desperately .🙏🏼

To the MONSTERS WHO DID THIS, SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!
