The news everyone was dreading has finally been confirmed. After months of uncertainty following the mass kidnapping at the Panuco project site in January, Vancouver-based **Vizsla Silver Corp.** has officially announced that nine of their workers have been found dead in clandestine graves near Concordia.

The workers, primarily local Mexican nationals, were caught in the crossfire of an intensifying turf war between the **Los Chapitos** and **La Mayiza** factions of the Sinaloa cartel. While nine bodies have been identified through forensic testing, one worker remains missing, and search operations by the Mexican Navy continue in the region.

Operations at the Panuco silver and gold site remain suspended indefinitely as the industry grapples with the escalating violence in high-conflict zones.
