My new Starfield main character after 125 hours, all pre–Shattered Space Steam achievements, and one final decision: no more Unity!
This is the character I’m going to main from now on, after 125 hours in Starfield and getting all the Steam achievements available before Shattered Space (i stopped playing before the expansion).
He’s basically a hybrid between NG+ and a fresh character.
My headcanon is that he already went through the Unity more than once… but this time it broke him instead of empowering him.
He came back with no memory, no skills, no mastery — just fragments. Fear. Anger. Instinct. A sense that he already gave up one life for the promise of another, and that when the moment comes again, he does not want to make that choice a second time.
So this run is about a man who starts from zero, but carries a wound he can’t fully explain.
Before Vectera, he worked in ship maintenance. He always wanted to be a pilot and an explorer, but never had the money to make that life happen, so he stayed close to the dream by repairing and maintaining starships for other people. He got very good at it too.
Eventually he found a critical fault — maybe even sabotage — in a ship that was about to leave. He stepped in, prevented a disaster, and got punished for it because from the outside it looked like sabotage or insubordination. He saved people, but lost his job.
That incident also gave him a weird “superfan,” because at least one person understood what he had really done.
After that, he ended up on Vectera.
I’m running him with Kid Stuff and Empath, because his parents are still alive and I like the idea that no matter how hardened he gets, he still feels other people’s suffering more than he wants to. He’s independent, but he’ll work with the major factions when it makes sense. Crimson Fleet is the one line he won’t cross (i will side with the UC).
Gameplay-wise, he’s built around semi-auto rifles, revolvers, exploration, ship combat, ship building, and outposts.
Lore-wise, he’s someone trying to build a life he refuses to abandon.
His whole philosophy is this: “This time, what I build stays with me.”
If people are interested, I will post updates on his story, ships, outposts, and choices during the adventure on Twitter:
