I missed the GP offer deadline and now my application is withdrawn

So i missed the deadline to accept my GP offer, i wont go into the reasons too much as at this point i dont think it matters. Subsequently, my whole application was completely withdrawn.

The offer initially came last Thursday, i submitted a ticket to National Recruitment Office once i realised later in the day. They got back to me today saying that nothing can be done. No re-instating of the offer, and they wont put my application back into the application pool. Apparently my offer has gone to someone else (?though no upgrades have been sent yet to people).

Ive contacted the deanery (East of England) and they said its up to NRO and so they cant do anything.

Im gutted. Not sure what to do. I feel quite stupid, especially after coming so far and failing at the last step. Maybe ill reapply for January entry but I feel like thats going to be so competitive that its almost pointless. I'll probably be miserable doing a clinical fellow post for a year knowing that I could have been in training if i clicked accept.

I have seen others on here get their offer re-instated or get offers somewhere else; why not me?

Thanks for reading. Would appreciate advice if constructive. And before you say it, i know, its my fault, and i should have been familiar with the process and guidelines.
