Sex after Long term relationship
Was with my ex for 7 years (my first everything) and throughout the relationship I never fully enjoyed sex. I think it was due to me not fully relaxing, constantly overthinking, being self conscious, or just always aware of myself.
I feel like during the relationship I was quite boring at sex because it always felt like a taboo topic to discuss for me, and again I never fully expressed how I was feeling.
I wouldn’t want to experiment or try new things and, to be honest, got very lazy due to being self conscious and also just not motivated— same position, same start and end.
We never discussed it during the relationship properly if we were both happy or unhappy with sex, if we did, it was just a joke “feeling satisfied love you” not a serious chat about it
Now I think about if I do meet someone in the future and it feels absolutely terrifying. I feel like I’m so inexperienced that it puts me off completely.
I also don’t enjoy sex that much or have a high sex drive — I feel like I could go months without it and it wouldn’t bother me. Is that even normal?
