Terf hit piece in The Guardian Aus about ABC disengaging from diversity groups, uncritically calling a trans hate group a "woman's rights organisation" and uncritically repeating terf criticisms of ABC coverage.
I know The Guardian UK is evil and transphobic, but I'd been hoping the Australian edition wasn't so infected.
I'm so mad and so scared I feel paralysed. This feels like it could be the start here of the organised takeover of the professional/commentariat class that terfs managed in the UK.
"Acon Exposed" is the terf group in question, btw. Their website is plastered in terf dogwhistles and their logo is a pride flag banana being peeled to 'reveal' a trans flag banana. It's nakedly anti-trans and incredibly biased for the article to refer to them only as a "woman's rights organisation" and heavily calls the reporter's objectivity into question when it comes to this subject matter.
I'm working out how to word a letter to the editor but please, I can't be the only one who raises a stink about this.
