Is oil required for a valid confirmation?

I just got confirmed this Easter Sunday at a pretty modern/hippie parish (its my local one, i did rcia there). it was the only sacrament I received, anywho my priest did not use oil when he confirmed me on my forehead. I posted in the big catholicism reddit asking if this is a problem or invalidates it, and as per usual when I use this website, I got immediately downvoted (im not sure why ppl are so unwilling to help you but start downvoting you lol) - so Im here asking this question now, hoping that you guys will be willing to discuss this.
