This Isn’t a Phone List, It’s My Life Timeline

Discussions🗣️

My life in phones — not upgrades, just phases.

It started with a Nokia 1200.

Not really mine — passed down when my mom got a Nokia 2700.

Hostel life.

10–12 contacts. Calls were expensive.

Most of the time the warden kept it anyway.

But when I had it — Snake.

That was enough.

Then came my own Nokia 2700.

First Gmail. First Facebook.

3GP pirated movies, Bluetooth sharing, Yo Yo Honey Singh on repeat.

That phone wasn’t just a device —

it was my introduction to the internet.

Then it was taken away… for “studies.”

Replaced with an MTS phone. No internet, just calls.

29 paisa/minute.

Long late-night conversations… you know, you know.

Then I chose the Spice M-5455.

Looked modern. Touchscreen. Cheap.

Worst decision.

So slow it made me miss my old Nokia.

Then came the real shift — Gionee Elife S5.1.

My first Android.

Fast. Smooth.

This is where I learned everything — apps, sideloading, OS installs.

This phone didn’t just upgrade my experience… it upgraded me.

Until I dropped it.

From the 5th floor.

And ended up with a Samsung Galaxy A4.

Not an upgrade — just survival.

Then came a second-hand iPhone 5.

And suddenly… I felt superior 😂

iPhone 5s was more of the same.

But iPhone 6 — that was a jump.

Bigger, better… and then PUBG Mobile happened.

Hours gone. Days gone.

iPhone 6s — just continuation.

No excitement anymore.

iPhone 7 Plus — two cameras, so it had to be better 😄

Didn’t know much, just followed instinct.

Then iPhone X —

Face ID, full screen… felt like the future again.

Until life hit.

One slip on ice.

Phone flew. Crushed.

Back to basics with a Samsung Galaxy A10.

Then slowly rebuilding —

saved up, bought a Redmi Note 8.

Better overall… but somehow, older phones still beat it in some ways.

Then came doubt.

Before buying the iPhone 14,

I hesitated a lot. People had made fun of my old iPhone.

Still bought it.

Not to prove anything —

just to choose for myself.

And then… I gave it away.

My cousin wanted it for BGMI.

I took his Vivo V27 instead.

Because by then, I was done chasing.

Didn’t need the best anymore.

Just something that works.

After 2 years, even that started feeling “not enough.”

But this time, I didn’t rush.

I researched.

Understood what I actually want —

good screen, fast charging, freedom to install anything.

And finally landed on the OnePlus 13.

Not the most expensive.

Not for flex.

Just… right.

Looking back,

it was never about phones.

It was about phases —

curiosity, ego, loss, rebuilding, and finally… clarity.
