Anyone here using AI to make internal knowledge actually usable?

Was looking into how organizations are handling large knowledge bases and found an interesting example from MIT.

The Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship apparently built an AI assistant (ChatMTC) trained on their own content docs, help desk stuff, even videos.

What stood out to me wasn’t the “AI” part, but the use case:

Instead of digging through multiple resources, people can just ask questions and get answers instantly.

From what I read:

  • No more waiting in support queues
  • Available 24/7
  • Works in multiple languages
  • Answers are based only on their actual content

Feels like a practical way to solve the “we have knowledge but nobody can find it” problem.

I can see this being useful for:

  • internal documentation
  • customer support
  • onboarding/training

Not sure how common this is yet, but curious if anyone here is doing something similar?

Here’s the case study if you want to check it out:
